Rock is a very shy fellow, he comes to the fence and sniffs at the hand, but then he has more fear than courage!

He's a very scared dog, ocasionally bites other dogs, so we had to move them. Now he's the only male from his enclosure.

Rock is a little "crazy", running in circle, barking to people and one time bit Iulian's shoe.  However, he loves treats! And it takes time and a lot of goodies...! This will surely work! Where is the human who has both?

Update from 20.08.2019:

Thank you dear Julia!

Rock is really a shy beauty. He has been with us since puppyhood and unfortunately he is the only one who is left over from that group. He shows interest in humans, but doesn't dare to get close to them yet. But he already takes goodies out of the hand and with time and patience he will surely become a faithful companion. Still, I couldn't stroke him yet. But I think he would defrost relatively quickly. Especially with a relaxed second dog. He still seems a bit reserved, but is curious and looks what people are doing around him. In any case, he needs an experienced person to deal with the beautiful guy and give him the necessary security.

Thank you dear Carina!
Rock is now living with other dogs in the kennel again (with Locki, Vauxall and Legolas) and shows himself to be compatible. Rock orientates himself a lot to other dogs, which means that when the others come here, he comes along happily and wags his tail and also takes treats from the hand. He is still very cautious around people. I have not been able to pet him yet. Otherwise I agree with Julia's description ;)

Please note that the fears among shy and scared dogs can be very diverse!

Many are afraid of people and lost their confidence. Some are rigid with fear, some run away, some would gasp if you let them no way out!

These dogs need time, patience, peace and understanding for dogs. It may be that a fearful dog dares to enter the house after weeks and can be touched only after a long time at all.

Keep in mind that you will probably not be able to walk with the dog without any problems in the first weeks!

Also keep in mind that small children in the dog's enviorment can scare the dog.

It wants to be well thougt out to take a shy dog... because it really takes patience and time!
