Dieses Würmchen ist ja wirklich süß, seine Kollegen, die unsere Schützlinge befallen können, mögen wir schon viel weniger.
Deshalb müssen wir Wurmkuren kaufen und bitten euch um Hilfe dabei!
Auch wenn eine Entwurmung nur bei einem aktuellen Befall Sinn macht und absolut keinerlei prophylaktische Wirkung hat, nein, es sogar mehr schaden als nutzen kann, wenn man zu oft entwurmt, unseren Behörden hat das offensichtlich noch niemand erklärt...
Deshalb haben wir leider die Vorgabe unsere Tiere im Tierheim regelmäßig zu entwurmen, koste es was es wolle - im wahrsten Sinne... Denn leider geht das nicht nur auf Kosten der Gesundheit unserer Tiere, sondern es kostet eben auch wirklich viel Geld, die Wurmkuren für so viele Schützlinge zu kaufen.
Durchschnittlich haben wir 350 Tiere, die mind, 4x jährlich entwurmt werden müssen. Mindestens deshalb, da wir sie ja bei aktuellem Befall trotzdem noch mal entwurmen müssen - wie gesagt, eine Prophylaxe gibt es nicht als Tablette.
Pro Durchgang brauchen wir jeweils 600 Tabletten, das bedeutet jedes mal durchschnittliche Kosten von EUR 400,- für alle Tabletten, und das 4x jährlich.

Even deworming only makes sense in case of a current infestation and has absolutely no prophylactic effect, no, it can even do more harm than good if you deworm too often, obviously nobody has explained this to our authorities yet...
Therefore, unfortunately, we have the requirement to deworm our animals in the shelter regularly, no matter what the costs - in the truest sense .... Unfortunately, this is not only at the expense of the health of our animals, but it also costs a lot of money to buy worming treatments for so many animals.
On average we have 350 animals that need to be dewormed at least 4 times a year. At least because we have to deworm them again in case of a current infestation - as said, there is no prophylaxis in tablet form.
