❣️‼️ Our Hero IULIAN Needs HELP!!! ‼️❣️

Dear friends, unfortunately, we have very sad news for you today about our dear Iulian… 

Many of you know and appreciate him. He has brought so many of your beloved pets to you and has been involved in countless exhausting transports. So many animals here owe their lives to him, whether he rescued them, caught them, or “simply” because of his daily self-sacrificing work in and around our Island of Hope. Even if he is sometimes a little bit grumpy, who can blame him? He probably envisioned his life differently as well.

But it's not just because he is the loving and caring husband of an committed animal protector; it's also because beneath his gruff exterior beats a really huge heart filled with love, especially for Grigoreta and the animals. Day after day, he fights for them, modestly and mostly staying in the background, even when he's not feeling well.

However, now he is truly not well. Unfortunately, he recently received some terrible news. After spending the entire past year lovingly by Grigoreta's side during her difficult and exhausting cancer treatment, he has now also been diagnosed with cancer… 😔

He initially only intended to accompany Grigoreta to her check-up. Although he had not been feeling well for some time and had a clinic appointment scheduled for himself this time, he didn't want to be examined. "Fortunately," he changed his mind. Actually, this was already a sure sign that something was wrong... The first blood test already brought shocking results. But only further examinations revealed the full extent… 😮

He has been diagnosed with colon cancer, a colon sarcoma, and, as if that weren't bad enough, he also has a hiatal hernia. This has already led to the formation of a fistula that has now even affected his lung.

His treatment needs to begin as soon as possible. They are currently seeking additional opinions but are very likely to choose treatment in Turkey, which is the best option for him. The doctors there are optimistic and believe they can perform everything in one operation with two surgical teams and a state-of-the-art medical robot, the Da Vinci. However, before they can operate, we need to pay. And the price is high… They are asking for € 32,000… They have already given us a discount, a quantity discount, so to speak… Originally, they wanted € 36,000.

Still, it’s a huge amount… 💰 And we don’t have it… Not even close…

Therefore – and we almost don't have the heart to ask for it, especially after you so generously helped Grigoreta last year. But we must do it; we have to ask you! The innocent animals that we all love, Grig, the world – we all need Iulian! Please help this wonderful man to get well so that he can continue to be our good (B)Angel.

Please donate if you can, share this appeal, tell your friends, colleagues, and family about it, and ask them for help – every single cent is urgently needed and will help immensely! Not only will the surgery costs come up, but also travel and accommodation costs for the necessary pre- and post-examinations.

Roughly estimated, the costs will certainly amount to € 55.000…

Please help Iulian so that he can receive this urgently needed treatment as soon as possible!

Our grumpy hero has always been there for everyone in need. Now he needs our HELP, please! Please support him so he can focus on his rapid recovery.

And of course, on Grig. Better said, both of them on each other. Because even if they sometimes can’t get along with each other, they cannot do without one another; they are a team, they are one. Now they both have to fight, for each other and for themselves. They will overcome this battle together, just like so many before. And they will WIN!

But to end on a really positive note: we have great news about our dear Grigoreta! After her last chemotherapy, she is now in remission (which means that the cancer cells have been reduced to the point that they are no longer detectable with a microscope or imaging techniques), and her body has responded positively to the treatment. 🎉✨

The doctors say her body is a little miracle. We know better – she as a whole is a huge miracle and simply a wonderful person! 🤩

Now it's time for us all to wait and cross our fingers! Important examinations are scheduled for May. If these show that her condition has not worsened, they can finally take the next big step – the operation for the definitive removal of the tumor! 🏥💪

But for that, we need your support! They have both gone through so much during this difficult time, and it is crucial that they receive the best possible medical care. Please help us finance their treatment and the upcoming operations.

Every euro counts and brings them a step closer, hopefully towards a full recovery. 💖
